Data removal
Correction and objectionIf your organisation appears on the map and you want it removed, we remove it. You do not have to explain why, prove anything, or talk to anyone on the phone.
How to ask
Write to contact@cannanexus.net or use the contact form with the reason "Correct or remove my company data", and include:
- The exact name of the organisation as published, and the country.
- What you want: to correct a specific data point, or remove the whole profile.
- If it is a correction, the correct data. We check it against the source before changing anything.
We do not ask for supporting documentation for a removal. For a correction we may ask where the correct data is on record, because we do not publish anything we cannot verify — not even when the company itself asks us to.
What happens next
We confirm by email that we have received the request. The removal is applied at the site's next publish and, in any case, within 30 days of your request at the latest. In practice it is usually a matter of days.
Removed means removed: the organisation stops appearing on the map, in the listings, and on any profile page. We do not add it back even if it still appears in the public register it came from.
Why this page exists
We publish data on organisations that did not give it to us. It comes from official public registers and is limited to the identity of the activity — never direct emails or phone numbers — but that does not stop anyone from wanting not to be on it. Having the way out in plain sight, rather than buried in a paragraph of the privacy policy, feels like part of doing this properly.
If you would rather use the formal GDPR route, it is the same email address: the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability are exercised there. Detailed at privacy.
